A book in the hand is still a beginning

A biography, a textbook or a simple story can sit on a shelf for months before it is opened. That does not make the gift empty. It makes it a seed.
The Foundation’s objects include free stationery and the encouragement of literature. Reading is one of the quietest forms of opportunity.
