A not-for-profit Section 8 organisation from Kurukshetra, built to serve education, literacy and community opportunity.
A Foundation with a written purpose
Sirshwal Foundation was incorporated on 6 August 2020 under section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013. It is limited by shares, not for profit: income is to be applied solely to the objects in its Memorandum of Association. Those objects begin with education for the needy and extend to healthcare, skills, scholarships, awareness and community welfare.
The registered office is in Thanesar, Kurukshetra, Haryana. The Foundation is listed on NGO-DARPAN and holds provisional 12A registration and 80G approval for Assessment Years 2026–27 to 2028–29.
Our story
From incorporation to local work
Subscribers signed the constitutional documents in Kurukshetra on 30 July 2020. Incorporation followed on 6 August. NGO-DARPAN registration was recorded on 7 September 2020. In the years since, the Foundation has been photographed in government schools, at a village outreach in Nivarsi, at the International Gita Jayanti Mahotsav, on an education tour to Jaipur, and in community book-sharing sessions.
Our purpose
Opportunity through learning
The tagline on the emblem is the shortest statement of purpose: in service of education and literacy. The Memorandum gives that purpose its range — rural schools, free stationery, scholarships, health camps, skill centres, and sanitation and water support for communities that need them.

Our commitment
Not for private profit
The Memorandum is explicit: profits and property are applied solely to the objects of the company. No dividend is paid to members. On winding up, remaining assets go to another company with similar objects. That legal discipline is the Foundation’s first commitment to the public.
