Why career conversations matter in government schools

For many students in government schools, the last years of secondary education arrive with few structured conversations about what comes next. A classroom talk, a courtyard seminar or a conversation with a teacher can be the first time a student hears that more than one pathway exists.

Career conversations do not need to be elaborate. They work best when they are local, honest and practical — naming nearby colleges, skill courses, and the simple habit of asking for help.
